Climate

The aim of this work package is to strengthen climate resilience and reduce the environmental impact of the built environment by improving LCA methodologies, promoting low-carbon and nature-based materials, and systematising climate adaptation strategies. By harmonising standards, addressing data gaps, and fostering collaboration across the Nordics, the work package ensures a more streamlined and effective implementation of climate policies in construction. It also seeks to support innovation and scalability of sustainable solutions while equipping policymakers and industry stakeholders with the tools to integrate climate adaptation and biodiversity into building regulations.

The leader of this work package is Elín Þórólfsdóttir, from the Housing and Construction Authority of Iceland.
